I love when the season changes from summer to fall. You know, that time of the year you can wear jeans and a cute shirt and not be too hot or too cold. It’s just right. Along with that beautiful fall weather comes adorable fall decor! So today I am going to show you how to spruce up a cute white craft pumpkin (with a free SVG cut file) to get your home fall-ready!
Supplies
- Any color adhesive vinyl (I’ll be using Oracal 651 in gold)
- Leaves are falling fall is calling free SVG file (download it here)
- Cricut or Silhouette machine (I will be using a Cricut in this tutorial)
- Transfer tape
- Weeding tool
- Craft or real pumpkin
Step 1
Download and open the FREE SVG cut file onto Cricut Design space.
Step 2
Resize the lettering to match the size of your pumpkin (I sized mine to 4.7 x 5.4). Highlight all the lettering and click attach. We are attaching so that the lettering isn’t jumbled.
Step 3
Use your cutting machine to cut out the lettering.
Step 4
Weed out the vinyl and place your transfer tape over it.
Step 5
Place the middle of the lettering on the pumpkin first then use your finger to start flattening the letters onto the pumpkin. Go slow and take your time! Press down each letter at a time.
Step 6
Once you’ve pressed all the letters down, use your squeegee to go over the lettering again to make sure it is stuck to the pumpkin.
Step 7
Easily start pulling off the transfer tape. If some of the lettering starts to come up with the transfer tape, place it back on the pumpkin and use your squeegee to press the lettering down again.
You did it! You made yourself an adorable lettering pumpkin! You can also add a bow at the stem of the pumpkin to take it a step further.
