Hello everyone, Meaghan from Meaghan Makes here sharing a super quick and fun project using Color Chimp Flock Heat Transfer Vinyl! Believe in all things bright- like glitter! ALL THE GLITTER.
What you will need:
- Color Chimp Flock 20” x 10” Heat Transfer Vinyl (I used Red)
- Craftey Essential Tool Set
- Believe In All Things Bright Cut File (download it here)
- Cricut Machine (or desired cutting machine)
- Easy Press (or desired heat source)
- Canvas Bag
STEP ONE: UPLOAD YOUR DESIGN
Upload the free “Believe in all things Bright” cut file onto design space. I hand drew this bright design to be a fun addition to any project! Once you upload the image, size the image to fit your canvas bag.
STEP TWO: INPUT CUT SETTINGS
Once the free cut file is uploaded into design space, press the green “C”or “Make it” icon and the cut settings will appear. Mirror (flip) the images on all mats. The cut settings are based on the type of material used. For the Color Chimp Flock Heat Transfer Vinyl cut on the Iron-on Flock setting.
STEP THREE: PREP YOUR MAT & CUT
Place the Color Chimp Heat Transfer Vinyl onto the cutting mat (glossy side down, matte side up) and flatten the vinyl onto the mat. Load the mat into the machine and start cutting! Again, don’t forget to mirror your image!
STEP FOUR: WEED THE DESIGN
When the cuts are complete, gently remove the vinyl from the mat. To avoid curling the heat transfer vinyl, flip the mat over and peel the mat from the vinyl instead of peeling the vinyl off of the mat. Use a weeding tool to remove excess vinyl from the carrier sheet that is not apart of the image and enjoy the soft goodness that is flock htv!
STEP FIVE: BRING ON THE HEAT
Preheat the Easy Press or another preferred Heat source and set it to the recommended time and temperature. Center and place the Color Chimp Heat Transfer vinyl onto a desired area of the canvas bag and apply heat. Once the time is up remove the heat and gently begin to peel off the carrier sheet. Be sure to use a protective sheet (or even use the carrier sheet larger than the image to prevent damage to the material you are pressing.
STEP SIX: KEEP ON CRAFTING!
